I have been offered shares in FOGL, has this offer been made by FOGL?
What should I do if I believe I have been approached under false pretences by a company trying to sell me FOGL shares? |
| |
It has been drawn to our attention that some prospective investors have been offered shares in a number of companies, including FOGL, by entities whose name suggests (incorrectly) that they have a connection with a major financial institution and in some cases the communications have suggested a connection with FOGL.
If any organisation with which you are not familiar offers you shares we recommend that you check the situation very carefully ahead of entering into any contract and/or paying any money. The Company is not currently undertaking any share offering and if anyone is purporting to be acting on behalf of the Company in relation to such an issue, we recommend that you contact us to check the position.
If you have sent money to a third party and have not received any legitimate documentation in return we recommend that you contact your local Police department and notify them of all the details.
For UK investors: The Financial Services Authority (FSA) has more information on this type of scenario at http://www.moneymadeclear.fsa.gov.uk/news/share_Scams.html . If you believe you have been targeted by a bogus organisation, you can report it by calling the FSA in the UK on Tel: 0845 606 1234 |

You say that you are planning a drilling campaign for 2009, but have not contracted a rig yet, is this still a realistic timeframe? |
| |
We are still hopeful that this can be achieved although due to the planning / logistics that need to be put in place it is unlikely to take place before the second half of next year. Our new partner, BHP Billiton, does have access to the necessary rigs and we will be working with them to commence the drilling programme as soon as is practicable. |

What is the status of your current work programme? |
| |
We have now completed the 2D infill seismic survey and the controlled source eletromagnetic survey ("CSEM"). The results from these programmes are encouraging and we have now identified a number of prospects that are seismically well defined and also have postitive CSEM evidence.
The results of both the CSEM survey and the infill 2D seismic will now be fully integrated in order to produce a short list of the best prospects for drilling.
Our partner BHP Billiton became operator of the licences from 1 January 2008. |

What is your cash position? |
| |
As at the year end 31 December 2007 it is expected that our cash position will be £12.2 million. This means that we are funded through a significant proportion of the near term exploration programme, which will include the drilling of the first two exploration wells. |

How much would it cost to get a rig to the Falklands and drill a well? |
| |
At current rig rates we anticipate a single well would cost in the order of £15 million. The cost of mobilising a rig to the Falkland Islands would cost between £5 and £15 million. |

Why did you select BHP Billiton as your partner? Surely they are a Mining Company not an Oil and Gas Company? |
| |
BHP Billiton is an obvious partner to us. They currently produce 350,000 boepd with a strategy to increase this to 500,000 boepd in 2010. They have an extensive and impressive track record of deep water drilling in the Gulf of Mexico, Australia and West Africa. The company also have a long history of working in sensitive environments; they understand the regional geology of the South Atlantic systems and have access to rigs. |

Are you still looking for further partners? |
| |
This is one of the options that we are considering. Since we have announced our agreement with BHP Billiton we have continued to have discussions with a number of other parties and we will look to advance these discussions during 2008, whilst ensuring that we maintain a material interest in our licences. |

What is the forward programme / when will you be drilling? |
| |
We are expecting to undertake a seabed coring and site surveys in 2008 and we are also planning to integrate the results of the CSEM survey and the 2D infill seismic survey in order to produce a short list of the best prospects for drilling.
We are continuing to review with BHP Billiton a number of rig options with a view to drilling the first wells on our licences either in 2009. Under the farm-out agreement a minimum of two explorations wells will be drilled in the next 3 years.
