Phase III 2D Seismic Survey

19 December 2006 The new programme of 2D infill seismic survey commenced.
Phase III will cover 10,000 kms in the 2002 & 2004 Licences. The survey has been contracted out to Wavefield Inseis AS and will be undertaken by the vessel "MV Bergen Surveyor"

Results

2D infill seismic survey completed.

Processing and interpretation of the results will take up to 6 months to complete.

Objective The objective of Phase III 2D seismic survey is to further define and de-risk prospects for drilling. The survey has 2 elements:

  1. Planned survey
  2. Dynamic survey, (1 km x 1 km seismic grid) based on CSEM results
MV Bergen Surveyor The "MV Bergen Surveyor" in Port Stanley, Falkland Islands.
