FOGL is focused exclusively on offshore oil and gas exploration in the Falkland Islands.
We are pursuing an aggressive exploration programme that could lead to the development of a new petroleum province in the South Atlantic.

- Most prospects in 2,000 – 4,500 feet water depth (610 - 1372 m)
- Target horizons: 6,000 – 13,000 feet below sea level (1829 - 3962 m)
- Falklands weather is similar to West of Shetland
- Remote location however no major issues during 1998 drilling campaign

May 2004 - 8 leads: At the time of the IPO, FOGL had identified 8 leads in a 33,700sq km licence area (2002 Licence). FOGL now holds 100% interest in this area.

December 2004 - 100+ leads / 2004 Licences awarded: FOGL awarded 100% of additional 50,000 sq km licence area. Over 100 leads and prospects identified.

October 2006: By the end of Phase II Seismic Survey, leads and prospects further defined across both 2002 and 2004 Licence areas. Forward work programme has been improved and relinquishment of area in 2002 Licences has been made.

15 December 2006: Wavefield Inseis commenced the 10,000 km Seismic Survey.

31 May 2007: Survey Completed.

Processing and interpretation of the results will take up to 6 months to complete.
